You can read how I find & value domains with different tools. The sweet spot is finding good 2-word domains that go well together.
Ok here's the list of domains expiring soon that I like:
Podlister.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- This domain name mirrors the word "podcaster" in length and only the 3 letters in the middle are different.
- The podcast world has a lot of established heavyweights like Spotify & Apple but podcasting is still very much open for opportunity to help podcasters start and accomplish their goals as well as helping listeners find good podcasts to give their time to.
- My initial easy idea for this domain name is curated podcast lists organized by different topics - ie "Best Personal Finance Podcasts"
- Though a bit more difficult to build, this could also be a tool to help people get their podcasts listed everywhere that they need to reach their audience - kind of how Anchor (owned by Spotify now) did automatically behind the scenes.
ProjectQuick.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- My initial thought for this domain name would be adjacent to the freelancer marketplaces like Upwork. People could put up projects that require quick turnaround times and compensation can be set accordingly so the projects are more attractive to the best talent (though I admit how these markets work from the freelancers position).
- This domain could also be a B2B SaaS app to help companies internally get new projects set up quickly with predefined templates based on previously successful projects - to cut through the monotonous and bureaucracy.
CodeBuilders.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- With the 's' at the end, this looks like a great name for an online community of dev builders. Without the 's', it would be a great brandable name for many different things.
- This is would also be a great name for an engineering agency.
MindThrive.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- Having built my own gratitude journal app and researching mindfulness for years, I always spot good wellness domain names.
- This a great brandable name. Mind is a really strong word related to mental wellness and mindfulness and Thrive is a fantastic positive growth word. This also makes me think this domain will likely not be overlooked by others and go to auction.
- This domain name can be used for a wellness company making meditation and mindfulness content through a website or mobile app.
SwitchSmarter.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- My first thought from this name was about switching cellular providers.
- Seen from a B2B angle, this could be a comprehensive migration tool and service to help companies change between software providers. Educating businesses on switching costs and future issues that may come from changing software.
- Digital transformation is still early days for many companies trying to catch up with Silicon Valley tech startups. Many companies are in the process of educating their staff now but it will take a long time for them to completely overhaul their work cultures. Switch Smarter could help ease the hard parts of digital transformation for organizations.
WowHobby.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- This a fun positive brandable name. It would be easy to say and share by word of mouth.
- It seems like a great name for a direct-to-consumer company selling hobby arts and crafts kits for children and/or adults.
- For content, the website could offer fun free DIY hobbies/activities people could do at home.
MarketSimulator.com
Drop Date - Jan 1st, 2020
- This makes me think of a class I took during my MBA where we were given a simulation program to run with classmates to simulate real-life decision making. I thought it was dumb because I thought the simulation did not account for so many real world factors but it still stuck with me.
- Anyway, in addition to possibly being used for educational purposes this domain would be a great name for a SaaS app focused at the financial industry.
- Investors and financial analysts could use such a tool built with tons of historical financial data to help make future investment decisions.
